Fuel & Damage
Fuel
- Two fuels: diesel (the T15's) and petrol (a vehicle from a pack uses one of them, as its maker set).
- A diesel bucket or a petrol bucket holds 50 L. Used on the ground it pours a pool; an empty bucket on a pool takes 50 L back.
- Other mods' diesel and petrol go in too, as long as they are in Forge's
forge:dieselorforge:gasolinefluid tag, also from other mods' cans and tanks.
Refuelling
- Press Use on the fuel door to open it;
- holding a bucket or can of this vehicle's fuel, press Use on the filler: as much as fits goes in, the rest stays in the bucket;
- when done, press Use on the fuel door to shut it.
The wrong fuel does not go in. The T15's tank holds 60 L. A running engine, the throttle and the A/C all burn fuel; the fuel gauge is on the dashboard.
Durability
A vehicle has three kinds of durability, shown at the bottom left of the screen while you are in it:
| Part | When damaged |
|---|---|
| Body | below 35% the hood smokes; at 0 it is wrecked: the engine stops and will not start, thick black smoke |
| Each of the four tyres | flat: the vehicle pulls to that side, grips worse and cannot go fast |
| Windshield, rear window, left and right windows | broken: no longer stop attacks, no more rain on them |
The outline at the bottom left: the body goes from white to amber to red, dark red and blinking when wrecked; a flat tyre shows as a blinking red frame; a broken window as a dark gap.
What damages a vehicle
- Crashes: into walls or trees, or falling from a height. The harder the crash, the more damage; a very hard one breaks the windshield too. Running into players or mobs costs the body a little as well.
- Arrows, tridents and other projectiles: on a tyre they flatten it easily (usually one or two arrows); on a window they break it and part of the damage goes through to whoever sits behind it; on the body they damage the body.
- Melee: an attack on someone inside lands on the window on that side first; only once that window is broken, or that door is open, does it reach them.
- Explosions, fire and lava: more damage to the body, and to the tyres as well.
- The ground: driving over a cactus flattens a tyre at once; sweet berry bushes, fire, lava, magma blocks and lit campfires wear the tyres down.
Repairs
1.0.0 has no repairing yet. An operator can repair a vehicle with a command; see Multiplayer & Commands.
