Testing
Run the checker first
Before going into the game:
python tools/check_vehicle.py <pack folder> <name>It checks every file the vehicle needs (vehicles/<name>.json, meshes, bones, textures, hit hull, key, icon, lang; for an add-on mod give <resources dir> <mod id> <name>), the meshes against Vextris's limits, the part names (paint, lamps, the four panes, tyres) and that the wheel sits at the origin. Each finding says what to do: FAIL means invisible, missing or crashing, WARN means it works but looks or behaves wrong. Go into the game once there is no FAIL.
Screenshots
Add one JVM argument in your launcher (in an add-on mod's development run, the Gradle property -PvehicleShots=<id>):
-Dvettura.vehicleshots=<pack>:<name>In any world, Vettura spawns the vehicle where you stand and shoots it from the front left, rear right, left side and above, then with doors and hood open, damaged (a flat, a broken windshield, wear), and from the driver's seat in first and third person, into screenshots/vettura_vehicle_*.png in the game folder.

In-game checklist
- The spawner: use it on the ground; paint, wear and fuel can be chosen (the T15 also the key's place; other vehicles hand you the key).
- Getting in and out: click a door to open it, a seat to sit; the passenger can move over to the driver's seat.
- The key: insert, start, stop (keyless: the key on you, hold the start key); no key, no start.
- Driving: pulling away, shifting, reversing, braking, steering; the steering wheel and gear lever move; drive at top speed and see that it is not pulled back.
- With a door open, nothing is left across the opening (a jamb or a seal left there is not parented to the door's bone).
- Lamps: low and high beam, turn signals, brake and reverse lamps.
- Hood and filler door; refuelling from a diesel or petrol bucket (50 L each).
